地區：Kolakham, Lava, India
July 16 (Lava): A very wet day. Access to Kolakham by foot was uncomfortable. The path was slippery and soggy. Our team of 16 were Dr. Sonam, 2 more doctors, Nurse Lhadon of Jamgon Kongtrul Healthcare Centre and us, 12 monks, including Khenpo Sherab, of Lava Monastery. We expected 200 people from the villages of Lower & Upper Lingchu, Dagyong, Lebong, Gurucharan and Kolakham. But due to the heavy rains, only 155 turned up. Our monks organized the registration of patients and entertained them in conversations. The medical team treated everyone with attention and care. There were 65 males, 90 females. 50 were children (below 18 years). The main complaints were diarrhea and dysentery; coughs, colds and fevers; skin diseases especially scabies…. There were also quite a number of patients with anxiety disorders. In remote villages where life is hard and uncertain, people generally suffer from stress and anxiety. But the recent mudslides and damages to homes and crops had exacerbated the problem.
